The impact of Bilkilife's idea

When the team of Bilkilife first had the idea of a tour for people with disabilities, we wanted to interview people with disabilities and hear their voice. We wanted to understand their struggles and let them explain their reality. The answers that we got were devastating. This is how people with disabilities in our country answered to the question:

Q : What is your experience with travel offers? Are you accepted as tourists? Is there accessibility to tourist spots?

A: Nothing has been done for blind people to have accessibility in tourism, left to their own devices, without any resort, place, facility, accessibility.

A: There are no opportunities and availability for tourist services in our country. Institutions do not have access, not to mention tourist facilities. A lot needs to be done, people are disadvantaged.

Susanna Stojanovska - Caregiver of a visually impaired child president of the NGO "Dnevem Center Doza Sreka"

A : We have no place where we can be warmly received, so that Joanna can enjoy herself freely. We feel the discrimination at every step, and we can't even think about tourism.

Verica Ognjanova - parent of a child with Down syndrome

These answer motivated us to work harder on our idea, to plan carefully and to better understand these people's lives. We're working on recreating this photo in our own yard 😆
