This takes place in Gold Beach Oregon on the southern coast.

The third book 'The Arrangement\" is about the now retired baby boomer Eve who now owns property on Moon Mt in Eugene Oregon. Vinnie lives in a yurt in her back yard. Every summer she receives the same letter with the skeleton key and she takes off to Catalina Island. But not before she goes to the Oregon Country fair with Vinnie. When she goes to Catalina Island Vinnie is caretaker of Eve's country gardens now in full bloom.

Vinnie is in love with Eve but remains silent. Eve spends the summer with an old friend from her past, who has Multiple Sclerosis.
