Teen TRUSTees Inform 64 years of Climate Activation



The TRUST Climate Activators in their own words:



Valeria, from Ukraine and a current refugee in Vienna: \"I would like to thank everyone for this amazing evening/night! Thank you, Kat, for The river of my life drawing experience. It was an excellent way to express my concerns about the problems our planet faces nowadays. Thanks, Jim, for telling us about Land Acknowledgment; thanks Mark for giving a cool idea for the project! Thanks to all the Moonshot Pirates for the atmosphere and ideas)\" and \"Today I feel very grateful for all the opportunities I have now. These days I often feel overwhelmed by all of them but I know that I’m going straight to finding my calling among all of them). I’m also thankful to the people who give me those opportunities. Thanks, Kat for hosting this, event which was very insightful for me and enabled me to gain a real sense of belonging to nature.\"



Nevena, in Vienna rising funds for Ukraine, Learn 4 Ukraine used zoom breakout rooms to deliver 4 simultaneous workshops that were taught generously by volunteer masters in their fields. In less than 2 weeks she raised +$1,100 for Ukrainian women and children crossing the border into Poland. 



Charlotte, in Iceland and linking her learnings with her loves



Marin, in Mexico, representing WE Rotary Club of International Peace in an online training hosted for District 5000 of Hawaii



Evelynne, In Poland, adapting to the millions of war refugees in her country



Leena, in India, telling stories of how her community is being impacted by climate breakdowns



Melissa, in South Africa, sharing the social injustices as water becomes a scarce pillar of life after apartheid



Daniela, in Portugal, overwhelmed with climate anxiety \"Thank you for teaching me about indigenous people. It was very important for me to listen and learn about land acknowledgment. I am never going to forget what Kuuyux taught us, it really opened my mind and my heart! <3\" and \"Today I felt motivated and inspired something I have been struggling with since quarantine started. For that, I am very thankful for all the people in the group, specially to Jim, because he gave me a new insight into my connection with my land and the elements around me. Thanks, Kat for hosting this amazing project and for teaching us so much. And thanks all of you Moonshot Pirates for this amazing and welcoming atmosphere.\"



Kandace, in Toronto, in her grace headed back to the States from Canada



Jim, in the desert Southwest, connected with deep indigenous wisdom and generous mostly Native American elders



A host of special guests over 12 weeks added their field of Xpertise to the soup of leadership skill, climate understandings, indigenous wisdom to inform, inspire, and activate these girls as they grow into effective leaders in their places.



LIVING BRIGHTLY3 on June 3-5 will inspire & empower emergent women leaders committed to activating climate action in their families and communities. You can do anything you put your heart and mind into. These teens are. So can we each do what needs to be done, like we always do.
