Taking my initiative to the radio for a long term deal: Hopeful is all I can say

Their caption reads: It's about adding value daily

When my mentor Megha suggested during one of our monthly check in calls that I reach out to a radio house or two and propose to host a program on mental health matters, I wasn't sure I wanted to get into the dynamics and gymnastics of what such a process could involve. The sometimes unnecessary bureaucracy and then requirement that you pay for the slots or bring sponsors through adverts etc, nah I didn't want to do that.

She sensed the resistance and encouraged me to approach the radio houses which have invited me once or twice to a program of theirs for \"free\" hahahahaha.

I mentioned it first casually to 2 of such houses, and bingo they asked me for a proposal to start this January and to run for 6 months for a start. This is when I knew the universe could align. I was also happy am fluent in both English and French.

So, yesterday the promoter of one of the Radio house called me to say I could start with recorded programs in both languages today, and then we see how it goes.

Imagine my glee, I didn't want to leave the office today without sharing such great news for my initiative. I know I will reach more than a hundred people with my short but thought provoking programs, and so excited because there is even a prospect in the long run to host a TV program at that media house.

Thank you my mentor Megha, and for the connection we share I say Aloha
