Tackling unemployment menace in my community

The effect of the pandemic after the 2022 lock down heightened the state of unemployment within the youth bracket age 18 to 35 in my community. Many become helpless being thrown out o jobs, while companies keep downsizing and merely managing to stay afloat after months of inactivities brought about by the global lockdown. 

I decided to help a number of women and girls around my neighbourhood to search online for job opportunities from Facebook to LinkedIn, Instagram and several other job vacancies posts on Google search. 

Having been able to send links to many, by 2021, I decided to start a skills training course for the youth where I train and empower young people especially women and girls on skills that can put food on their tables, like organic skin care, digital marketing, catering and snacks making, even training on soft skills acquisition for the fresh graduate seeking employment. This effort gives birth to TMRS Consulting that I run today.

We have 5 online platforms where job seekers, training applicants come to to seek help to increase their earning potential.  We have trained a sizeable numbers of women, providing jobs for many through these online and offline efforts, we are growing daily using our services to reach the downtrodden and helpless women, girls and boys in our community who would have turned to crime if respite was not provided through our empowerment interventions.

Our vision is to do much more, build capacity to train much more and provide a training hub for the youth in our community.

We will keeps doing this creating impact,  touching lives in the world till the world become more liveable for the poor and the less privilege in our communities. Thank you.
