Support of my initiative from World Pulse and its impact on women with disabilities

update
My #SheTransformTech journey has been a good one. When I pitched my initiative I was not convince it was going to be interesting to the point that it will attract any form of support. But keeping my fingers crossed, I was convinced that some day, a World Pulse sister will read my initiative dashboard and connect to me.
On my initiative, I said \" I want to educate women/girls with disabilities, women/girls with HIV AIDS and teenage mothers on the positive use of the internet and build their skills on the use of digital tools, so as to have self-esteem that will make them leap above stigma, stereotype, marginalization and gender based violence. This is because, Cameroon has been going through a sociopolitical unrest since 2016 and there has been an increase in teenage motherhood and a prevalence of HIV/AIDS among young women below 30 due to the interruption of schools and increased rate of gender based violence (especially rape).
Surprisingly, one day a World Pulse Sister wrote me a private mail telling me she wants to support my work. She asked me what my immediate need was and I was shocked. I told her I wished to set up an accessible ICT centre that these women can access. She told me she wants to send me some money, yet I did not belief her but kept praying let it be true. It took a while for her to get back to me.One day I received an email from her apologizing for being quiet for so long and she asked of my Swift Code. When I communicated with her, she supported me with a good amount of money that has enabled me to support four sisters (each with an android phone), got myself a better phone and a tablet.
With my passion to give back to my community because I believe that \" We rise by lifting others\", through this support, I have been able to:
1-Sensitize young women on the importance of using the internet positively to bring out the digital power in them
2-Organize World Pulse trainings that have impacted approximately 20 women in 4 communities of the North West Region Cameroon
3-Do follow up visits, monitoring and evaluation to those I have signed up on World Pulse to track their progress
4-Do digital mentorship programs with women/girls with disabilities and women/girls with HIV AIDS
I still continue to hope that one day I will have the opportunity to really raise funds for the construction of an inclusive digital vocational training center for women/girls with disabilities and women/girls with HIV AIDS and teenage mothers in North West Region
Women and girls who have benefited from my initiative now have improved confidence and self-esteem,are able to sale online and have access to e-learning and opportunities, peer train, report cases of violence and access services for their well being. There is a shift in perception of community members on women and girls with disabilities and women and girls with HIV AIDS and teenage mother. They now have the confidence to speak out and go through a sustainable case management plan and are gradually being reintegrated in their communities and impacting the lives of others digitally.
