Sri Lanka; Current situation

Has the struggle launched in Sri Lanka ended successfully?

What happened to the struggle that the common people took to the streets against the government? Is it successful?

Some say that Sri Lanka has won a great struggle. For us who live in the country, it is a fall to the stove from the frying pan.

The Sri Lankan people waged a months-long struggle to oust President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa from power. After months of dedication, the people succeeded in ousting the president

But the real struggle started after that.

After the resignation of Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe was elected as the President of Sri Lanka from a party that had only one majority in the Parliament, and was not elected by any public opinion. He is engaging in a vile act of arresting young leaders in a very cruel and cunning manner, who have devoted themselves to the struggle, ignoring all the problems of the country.

Once again, he is sacrificing the country for his personal greed by putting in power the politicians who have led the country to destruction for decades.

The prices of essential commodities in Sri Lanka have skyrocketed.

Sri Lanka is the second most undernourished country in South Asia. This is not due to lack of food. People don't have enough money to buy food.

Schools and universities have not been opened properly since the corona virus.

The cost of school sstationary is too high for parents to afford.

People have to stand in queues to get fuel and gas.

Public transport fares are very high. They even had to sit on the floor in buses and trains.

Examinations are delayed due to shortage of paper sheets.

Patients die prematurely due to lack of medicines.

The young people who struggled for all this have already started to be imprisoned by the miserable rulers.

When people suffer from hunger, the politicians demand that their houses damaged by the struggle be made more luxurious.

The university students who fought against the miserable leaders are imprisoned day by day.

But now people have normalized all this.

Use bicycles if fuel is not available. That was the government's solution. It's really good. But that is not the solution.

It is true that developed countries use bicycles for environmental protection and physical well-being.

But here is a completely different issue.

Our country is not strong enough to provide electricity 24 hours a day for this small population of our country, which receives rain and sunshine throughout the year. Every day there is a power outage for several hours.

Although there is a very fertile land, we have to import rice containing mercury and arsenic from abroad.

The country has lost its sources of income. Garment industry and foreign domestic workers are burdened by the country's income and suffer.

This is the situation in Sri Lanka.

I am a university student. I doubt that a degree from a bankrupt country like Sri Lanka will be of any use. But I want to see my country heal again.

Sri Lanka is a country that has defeated the worst terrorism in the world for 30 years. Sri Lanka is a beautiful island with a very beautiful and scenic environment that receives rain throughout the year.

As a child, when I wrote essays in school, I spoke very proudly about my country. We call Sri Lanka the pearl of South Asia.

But today that pearl is being dragged into the mouth of destruction.

No matter how hard the common people try, capitalist politics strangles the people and kills them.

In the end, the true patriot suffers in the prison cell. The vile politician is enjoying himself.

This is what happened in Sri Lanka for many years.

It is essential that the international eye turns to Sri Lanka. It is essential for the world to know the real situation in Sri Lanka. It is essential to revive the struggle stopped by.

I thought to write about beautiful places, traditions, cultures, fashions and arts in Sri Lanka to world pulse. If you are a traveler, or if you are willing to travel around the world, Sri Lanka will be a great destination. Sri Lanka is a beautiful island with a marvelous nature. I hope you will help us by sharing my articles if I write about my country. Thank you.
