some ideas for ending violence toward women

Sisters, Here are some thoughts that I came up with. Please share your thoughts. Thanks, William

Teach young boys (through 4th or 5th grade?) to respect girls in school or where else? How is 2009 Indian law to provide education to all children working? Are most children going to school now? How find out?
Teach young girls that they deserve to be respected. In school? Elsewhere?
End corruption as an acceptable way of life:
Reward those who have practiced integrity on their job or in their community;
Monitor elections for honesty and to prevent fraud;
Make finances of government transparent;
Make finances of elected officials transparent. Go to website re: corruption in various countries. What factors are considered?
Demand that Judicial System operate in a timely manner. Make corruption of Judges not socially acceptable.
Get all religions involved in teaching honesty, respect. What Hindu religion about, how does it teach respect for others? What about caste?
Was the VERNA legal plan acted upon by the Federal Government? Has the Indian Government shown concern about abuse toward women? What is the number of women in Federal Government?
What about caste? Are women of lower caste more likely to be raped or to be targets for violence? What are some of the ways to moderate caste so more respect is shown lower caste women/Dalit?
Can the marriage dowry system be moderated so women are abused less?
