Sheroes Staff

Staffing for Sheroes Rising Development Initiative is something I have side-stepped and avoided for too long-because women's advocacy is a controversial space to work in, especially in northern communities. Also, not having the finance to pay workers- and relying on the dedication and sacrifice of people with like minds to support the cause makes it twice harder to get staff.

In the past 4 years that I have been trying to push this project, I have spent close to five hundred thousand naira (N500,000) on website maintenance, social media marketing, and a writer's stipend. At the end of the day, I have come to accept the fact that passion is never enough; for any project to see the light of day, it requires funding which sometimes becomes elusive, and enough people to believe in it.

I would not waste time recruiting staff for Sheroes Rising Development Corporation the moment our funding applications go through and we have enough to execute the digital rebranding, e- & hardcover magazine, and launch the Gender Advocacy Caucus.

To achieve this, the staff we will need are:

An editorial team of:

4 content writers & a General editor for both online, e & hardcover magazine

Admin/Finance Manager (to manage funds)

Business Development Manager (who will develop the business angel from our projects)

Content manager (who will design and develop the content created into an e & hard copy magazine)

Marketing & advert manager
