I listened attentively as the Trainer explained in detail all that is needed register a social enterprise ,and I listened a second and a third time , I wanted to really get it.
I got excited as she went through the checklist ,ive got this ,I said to myself , but then she reminded us that we can also do it when we are ready .
And that has been a taught that I ve contemplated all year last ,Ive done the research , I know who I am targetting ,im connecting with like minded persons who think Im on the right track I am providing a solution to a problem . Financially its a walk of faith but God has given me this vision and I know hes not short on providing for it.
But am I ready to get registered and have the expectations placed on me to deliver what I am proposing ?
Honestly I think I am and I will , I joined this trainng for the sole purpose of just going through one last time the steps on setting up my social enterprise , which has already been operating behind the scenes in certain aspects of our mission.
We are building a NFP organisation , in my country , you have to pay a registration fee , you also have to provide a business plan ,and name the members of your board . Its not a long drawn out process.
I am truly excited about moving forward ,because being registered will give us more opportunity to qualify for grants , local and global and also be able to get into collaborations for fund raising efforts .
