Self Development.

One of my goals this year was to develop my self. This self development includes my health, my professional career, and skills.

I started out with a course in graphics design. I rounded up my change makers lab course, then I enrolled in a mentorship program. For my health, I decided to resume my daily 10 aerobics.

I was at a loss on what to do career wise, because I thought any professional development would cost me money, and I had not allocated any amount for it.

The story changed when I saw all the trainings World Pulse had put up. I finished three already. I took the course on Professional development and I realized I was already in the process of developing my self professionally.

Professional development is any learning or aquiring of skills while one is already on a job or profession.

This helps one to be up to date with current skills, best practices and knowledge in that particular field while improving one's self and confidence. It also makes one to stand out in a pool of many other professionals.

As I gain these skills and knowledge, I decided to update my CV. My new skills and knowledge now appear on my CV.

I believe that learning is the spice of life. With each learning comes growth.

We begin to die when we don't grow. There is no age limit to learning more gender barrier. Attending a training or workshop can make a huge difference.

Money should not be a barrier either, because there are lots of courses we can access for free online. World Pulse is available for us to get different trainings, just log on! Coursera, Allison courses etc offers yet more alternatives.
