Seeds as a precious gift

While talking to my mentors I felt like if we were together going to make it happen for many more seeds to grow.

We first met october 5th. I wasamazingly surprised thateven thoughtwe were far, there were this woman trying to help me to accomplish my dream. It was so beautiful to feel that connection and specially because the last daysColombians have forgotten important things asfor me were trees and protected areas while most of our conversations are about war.

That wednesday meeting Pat, Ngozi, Mairie andManya helped me to see beyond my frontiers.It helped for one hour to forget about reality down here and make me again focus on what it is important to me.

I thank them because not only because they gave me a sense of hope for onelong hour with our conversation but they were reallytrying hard to understand my dream and my vision, while my vision was vanishing in the middle of so many things going on here. I do not think they could even imagine the pain two days before that day I wad feeling as my country said no to referendum. So I tried to forget and also tried really hard to switch my head into what was gathering us that day. A project.

A project I have had in mind for so long that when it came to happen I could not believe it.

I want to connect private protected lands to continue increasingthe number of hectares protected by civil society in the world.

I close my eyes and I could see it. Easily. And that will need a lot of effort and research andsome other ingredients I may have...as passion and certainty about the fact we need to continue protecting forest if we want to continue as specie.

At the end of that day I could not even think what will happen next but I knew something will come out as discussion with this woman was very interesting to me as I was also trying to understand many important things to have in mind about my vision.

Days went on and I decidednext tuesday one day before our next meeting on october 12 to make something with all the ideas I had in my mind about my vision. While taking a shower I found out how important it was to create a worldwide network of private protected lands as we need to have a connection in between us to help and support the work we are doing.

On october 12 I had my second meeting and connection was not working as good as we thought so we tried really hard to understand each other and to me it was nice to see the commitment of this woman for being there for me.

I share with them my idea and they love it and gave some advices as connecting protected lands to the fact many of them have medicine plants which are important to humans. I was already creating a site to give life to my vision and I share it with them.

I am trying to enter at least something every day as it needs a lot of searching trying to find reserves or association of reserves.

This is a very special moment in my life. i know it. Because I have found the time and the space to be able to focus my idea and being helped for amazing woman who are doing different type of things as professionals and also as woman in this planet.

Itis also very special because I had something else what to think of while i feel my country is tearing apart. I have faith nature will help us heal and thats why I feel also lucky enoughto have the privilege of being an impact leader to make new things happened in my life and in others people´s life.

Thats a gift....a precious gift.
