In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the significant differences between women and men in the labor market undermine the country's initiatives for inclusive economic growth. Only 62% of women are part of the labor force and barely 6.4% of them are in salaried employment, compared to 23.9% of men.

The SBS program was set up to increase the level of education and skills of women, interventions that allow women living in poverty to acquire life and professional skills, which would encourage participants engage in income-generating activities, continue their education, develop their savings and control their own money.

in 2022, 61 women have completed the program, of which 95% of them have income-generating activities and 65% of them have their own business

this program has enabled women to have access to capital, such as the development of safe savings mechanisms or the provision of monetary savings and productive assets.
