Relationships: Reflections about a Verse I read today in the Holy Quran

Salam (Greetings of Peace)/Hello,
I just finished reading a part of a Sura or Verse in the Holy Quran.
O ye who believe! If you assist (the cause) of Allah, He will assist you and plant your feet firmly. Sura 47, Ayat 7
This Verse resonates with me because of the fairness in it. Allah or God is telling us if you give to me or do for My cause, I will do for you. But God in His Generosity, In His Intense Love, In His Immense and Utmost Care for us is also saying if you do for Me, if you do for My cause, I will do for you & do something additional and specific. I will \"plant your feet firmly.\"
Based on my observation, people who I know that work the deeds of righteousness or do works for the cause of God have a sense of direction. They have a sense of purpose and are grounded.
In this Verse, God clearly speaks to the law of reciprocity, the law involving two parties giving to each other in their relationship with each other. And the receiving is contingent on the giving. Not one taking, taking, taking and not giving, giving, giving or one expecting, expecting, expecting and not giving, giving, giving -- unfortunately
this is seen too often in our relationship with God and in our relationships with the people in our lives. We expect those in our lives to do for us but we don't think we should have to do the same for them nor do we try enough or make a hard enough effort. Like in many of our relationships with other people, we expect God to do for us or to deliver for us but we don't figure we need to or we don't try hard enough or frequently enough to do for Him. Typically in human relationships, when both persons give, both persons receive however in our relationship with God it's enough for Him that His cause benefits because God need not to receive anything from us or He Himself need not benefit from our giving or our contributions. He is so Magnificent. God is so selfless.
Would you agree that our lives, our relationship with God, and our relationships with one another would be much better if we behaved more like God behaves with us?
All the best,
Najwa
