Reimagining Girls Future Summit: International Day of the Girl Child 2020

International Day of the Girl Child is a day marked globally by efforts both to raise awareness and offer opportunities to Girls and young women, addressing issues like access to education, health care rights, career, technology, employment and much more.

Every year on 11th October, the International Day of the Girl, Girls Education Mission International amplifies girls' voices and stand up for their rights. This year 2020 under the theme \"My Voice, Our Equal Future\", Girls Education Mission International inspired by her Pioneer Girls, seized the opportunity to reimaging Girls Future. As Girls worldwide assert their power as change-makers. GEM brought together her Pioneer Girls for a 5 days summit tagged \"Reimagining Girls Future\" Conference. Organized by and for the GEM Pioneer Girls, the summit focused on the pioneering girls sharing their stories of resilience amidst barriers and demands for Girls' Possibility to: 1. Live free from Gender-based Violence and Harmful Practices. 2. Learn new skills towards the future they choose. 3. Lead as a generation of advocates accelerating social change.

With the disruptions from the COVID-19, the future of millions of vulnerable girls are at stake. This year's International Day of the Girl Child, the GEM Pioneer girls have converged to reimagine what they sees as the future for girls - the change they want, the solutions they are leading and demanding locally, nationally, regionally and internationally to ensure the possibility of girls potentials.
