REIGNITING WOMEN'S ZEAL AND PASSION FOR POLITICS

With women in Jabi community, Abuja

This time Orah Bayit Foundation embarked on our  sensitization and mobilization campaign on Women Group in Jabi, Abuja, with the focus on permanent voter’s card, collection and credible voting.

The campaign targets women including those living with disabilities, providing them with the knowledge and information they need to actively participate in Nigeria’s 2023 elections, fostering trust in the electoral process, and striving to create a vibrant civil society that engages in democratic development and also providing cautions against vote buying.

Our discussion carried out in English and Hausa languages further reinforced the voter education for the upcoming presidential, governorship, National Assembly, and State assembly elections as well as address the general gaps in the overall voter education.

While the level of community participation was remarkable, those who took part in the exercise expressed an overwhelming appreciation for being asked to participate and a high interest in having future opportunities for all-inclusive political involvement.
