Putting together building blocks

There were several frameworks that were shared in Module 1 from systems thinking approaches, SMART goal setting, gender at work framework, theory of change as a logic model, etc.
These tools have been essential in mapping out and refining The Bold Collective's vision, mission, goals, and more importantly, the building blocks needed to achieve those goals.
About 113 million women aged 25-54 with partners and small children were out of the workforce in 2020. This figure is astonishing, particularly when compared to their male peers (13 million of whom were out of the workforce- up from 8 million before COVID-19). - International Labour Organisation
When addressing a global problem that is this big and that disproportionately affects women (with effects from COVID-19 compounding the problem), where do we begin in the start of our pursuit of solving it? TBC was born out of this interest and recognising what are the small steps that can be taken in achieving this, has been important in putting moving parts together.

The logic model covered in Module 1, has been an effective tool in thinking about the inputs, activities, and outputs that would lead to the eventual outcomes that TBC is seeking to catalyse.

Drawing up a SWOT analysis for TBC has also shed light on some of our pain points but also on the strengths and opportunities that can help further facilitate TBC in achieving our goals! This has been useful in devising strategies to catalyse change, better understanding our focus areas, and look at the building blocks needed to be put in place to operationalise these strategies.
