Putting the "civil" back into civilization

I was very pleased to read today that the House admonished the congressmen who rudely shouted at the President of the USA while he was addressing them. I believe it is important that we do maintain high standards as far as how we treat each other go and as Congress is a highly visible example of Americans to the international community it is important to set high standards to follow and to rebuke those who behave rudely.

This is not about race or politics but about respect for our country. If our own congressmen refuse to show respect to our President how can we expect the rest of the world to?

In these times and with America as one of the leaders in the global community we must set the example to follow. Treating each other with common decency and respect will go a long way to helping restore the \"human spirit\" that in turn will aide in recovering from these hard times. Obama is trying his best to always treat others with respect and focus on the positive so we must follow his example as best we can.
