Psscasie has jumped to another step

PASCASIE MUKANOHERI SUCCESS STORY
Age: 18
From Basa cell, Rugerero sector, Rubavu district, Western Province of Rwanda.
PREVIOUS STORY
I’m fatherless. I dropped out of schooling when I was in primary five. I was not able to go on with my studies due to lack of school fees. Living conditions were very hard for us. I used to go in the quarries to carry stones and bricks to get at least a little money for living. Fortunately I was informed that ADEPE support the vulnerable kids. I came to ADEPE, explained my case to the coordinator and he agreed to put me in the program of sewing.
Pascasie is now able to produce different styles of clothes.
CURRENT SITUATION
People in my village used to discomfort me saying that I’m useless. The other girls of my age who were attending school laughed at me. Now that I’m learning how to sew, I recovered my dignity and people envy my situation. I’ m able to sew well different styles of clothes and I hope if got a sewing machine I will make money and be able to help other girls of my age who were not lucky to join ADEPE program.
Tailoring is a promising profession for me. Now I don’t doubt about my future.
