Principles of Life: Lesson from my MENTOR

My fellow correspondence VOF, i wish to share with you what I have learnt from my mentor; Constance Haqq. She is a blessing to me and I am really having a good time with her. She shared three principles of life with me and I am enthusiastic to share them with you. According to her, these principles will assist you in living a life where all your hopes and dreams can be realized.

The 1st is FAITH: She said
\"I believe you to be a woman of faith. Faith however is not a concept, but a living breathing practice that we can use to make decisions as we live our lives. Are you a person who prays? Meditates? Praise dances? Sings? However you connect with God, it is important that you do so daily. Though you are a very busy woman, I invite you to use your faith to support all that you do and all that you want to do. Take 5 minutes (more time if you have it) and become still...meditate or pray. God is always available to assist us in living a joyful life, if we open ourselves to His participation. Listen in silence to the still quiet voice within you (God never needs to shout). That voice will come as a blessing to give you the answers you seek. Learn to be still. Learn to trust the voice within you. You may keep a small journal near you and write down whatever comes to you when the time is up. Also, being still has many other benefits. It can lower blood pressure and strengthen the immune system. Good stuff!

The 2nd is Discipline and Commitment:
\"It is hard to stick to things something, but it is necessary in order to get the most benefit out of anything we try.

The 3rd is HUMOR.
\"We all take ourselves too seriously. Remember to laugh at yourself and when you make a mistake, smile and just decide to to better next time.  Nothing is too small or too silly. Life can be very silly sometimes.

Smile today and know that the space between us is not empty, but filled with streams of light and love

She offerred me one of her favorite poems by an unknown author.
So in silence
I wait In a place
Beyond words
Where to be in God's presence
Is the beginningAnd end of prayer
No longer asking, Seeking,KnockingJust abiding
Nothing is more important.

She gave me a tag line: VIVIAN: WOMAN OF PASSION, VOICE FOR CHANGE. This is how I see you my friend.

She also told me she is praying for me and my Family. We have many things in common and she is such a wonderful woman. I love her so much. Our pairing is divine and I am really happy with her. She writes me often and she is now on world pulse. She says \"there are a lot of wonderful women on WP with fabulous ideas. She is a mentor in deed.

Happy CHRISTMAS to all of you my friends on World Pulse. You are good.
