Perspective determines so much

Perspective ,,see the glass half filled or half empty

To my Audience of One

So recently I saw a post on facebook , that really spoke to me , it was a photo of what used to be a huge mango tree which was cut down to the stump, but the tree sprouted a branch and on it hung the most juiciest looking mango.

The message that accompanied this  encouraged us to be resilient like the tree and not give up .

The most amazing thing was the amount of negative comments that began flowing , some questioned whether the image  was photoshopped , some chastised the poster for sharing fake images, while others expressed believe ,having seen similar occurances.

But  my heart sank as I  watched as  the comments rolled  in , it seems misery was contagious ,everyone just jumped on the negative bandwagon ,their vision clouded so much that they missed the posters point  , broken crayons still color , at the end of the darkest tunnel theres always light , I felt It was an  opportunity for me to use my voice and the keyboard to make a difference, to stop this dark train in its tracks

My comment was simply this , Whether  it is true or not , getting the point is important, the ones for whom it is meant will get it loud and clear .Dont give up , dont let your circumstances define you , with God all things are possible ,keep pressing .

Sixty five people and counting liked or loved my comment , and 10 persons replied positively to it either encouraged by it or added their own two cents , some said it was meant for them ,it gave them spoke directly to them and their present circumstances .

1     I learnt three important things from this , one we can allow ourselves to be lead  by the opinion of the masses in a handbasket to hell ,or we can look at things carefully and come to our own conclusion.

2    We can choose to see the glass half empty or half full depending on where we are and the situations we face .

3    Some people will always get the point , you may never know who the things you put out there, may have a great impact on .

We should always be mindful of the power we have , we can either go with the flow  when negative veiws are expressed or we can seize the opportunity to sow seeds of positivity.

life may have knocked you down , dont stay down ,theres only one way to respond you can get up ,  and ask God for the wisdom to see the silver lining in the grey clouds

Be like that mango tree , dont just shoot a branch , but produce the sweetest fruit .

what was meant to harm you , will give you power .
