Personal Growth involves Self Care!

Many at a time we have found ourselves wanting to do what we want to do best but we are not able to do so. You promise a friend, co worker, or family member a time out but you call them and cancel it because your state of mind is to willing to be part of such programs or activities. You desire for a particular food or meal, and after shopping all ingredients you decline preparing the very meal because you lost appetite for it. What do you think is causing all the above problems? Its lack of self care for one's self.
What is self care, if I may ask? As the name depicts it's puting in all effort to care and protect ones personal needs. These needs involves the whole body, from head to toes. How you care for the state of your mind, heart, all senses and other body parts physically, emotional, spiritually is what is called self care
Now let's delves into it much more to learn few stuffs that we can apply in our daily activities to ensure we are caring for ourselves. Self care starts from minus things that we do for ourselves, from waking up in the morning puting up and smiling face to the evening coming home to a well prepared meal.
Sometimes we are over stressed about deadlines, search for jobs, school fees for our kids, takin care of our aged parents, our husbands and or wives needs and much more that we forget to appreciate our self. Forget what people think about your Enterprise, or organization, the state of your marriage that is collapsing. I mean it's okay if they have dough about you , it's their cup of tea. You are steering the car and know where you want to go and not want to go why you be worry what others say about you, the don't have the facts but you do ha!
I made this statement above because a lot of us make strangers that we don't know deprived us of our joy, why must it be so?
elf Care start with learning how to handle such humans who poke their nose everywhere else you will be burnout.
One of the characteristics of lack of self care is having frequent burnout. Burnout are like panic attacks but this are under control of oneself. You kind of get a trigger as regarding the situations you find yourself in. Eg You are with friends in a particular activities and suddenly you feel like you wants to withdraw. Why? It's a trigger! Those who are able to study such trigger turned to be good at escaping collations.
Our body is build in a way that when it's sense danger it can alert you to withdraw from. As minus as rejecting a meal that then to be poison. Self Care is all part of the benefits of the above. It's sad that we as humans turn to over use the ability of our body, in another word we abuse the body without learning to align our thinking with what it's trying to tell us.
Now that we have learn a little about self care, what do you intend to do to take care of your self? Personally for me I study my body, still learning though ha. When it's tells me stop I stop.
There are times I refuse any activity for almost a week even if it comes with money, because if I disobey my state of mind and attend such activities I will regret attending. So the major key is study yourself and know your do and don't. Also take a rest when the need be.
In conclusion self care is what make us who we can be, don't not neglect you need to take care of yourself. If the need be we can even put up a personal budget for holidays to free our mind and empty it. When we do so, we return fresh as possible with new ideas because we empty our mind on our vacation. May we have the wisdom to understand the meaning and important of self care and apply it in our daily life for our own personal growth
