pant, pant pant

I finally got the draft of my article for the Native Insight competition written up, phew! I am excited though doubtful of winning it, I am glad I got it done in time! Here is the link about it:

I have the op-ed almost done too so things are going good now that I am back and writing again! The girls are thrilled and relieved about it. I guess I just didn't notice the time passing by and August just zoomed by!

The insight one is due tomorrow and I think I can post it after the Oct. 22 announcement deadline since I think part of the deal is to have it published by those other papers as a group thing first so it is supposed to be an unpublished and original work. The girls liked it (but they say that about everything I write so I am beginning to think it is just a confidence boost they are trying to give me and never sure if they do actually like it so much as they say!)

It feels so nice to be writing again! I feel so behind since I planned to have a rough draft of some pamphlet stories done by now, sigh! Oh well, I will get them done soon and they have been percolating in the back of my mind all this time so hopefully once I begin the ideas will pour out and make sense!

I haven't heard back from Jenifer yet but will go ahead and post the pieces just in case... At least they will be read and commented on and I can work on getting better at it!
