PAIN THE KASHMIRIS FEEL
Ah, the misfortunate day for Kashmir.
It was August 4 and wasn’t less than a catastrophe.
We were sealed a la a secret envelope.
From all sides, even the crevices were covered.
Just like Egyptian pyramids, Kashmir was sealed perfectly.
Exhausted, tired walking wounded and helpless lot.
We cried for help, we begged for attention within and outside.
Our pleas, cries, sobs and tears fell in deaf ears within and outside.
We were mocked, laughed, joked and teased.
Looked down as terrorists, extremists, Islamists and separatists.
By the people who have no association with us genetically, or culturally.
By those who eat, talk, walk and enjoy cynicism and fake patriotism.
Five months of the cage, five months of imprisonment, five months of suffocation.
None cared, rather we were browbeaten by their men in khaki.
In their bogus democratic setup, Kashmir became the first scapegoat.
A laboratory, a testing field just to launch massive gush of hate.
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram flashed hate messages.
Kashmir became an utter laughing stock for you all over.
In this adversity, we sewed our lips, wiped our tears.
Despite our bruised heart and wounded soul.
We kept going, neither begging to you nor your warlords.
Now you are burning in your own hatred, all over the Northeast.
Now you are yelling to listen and we are watching you cry.
Kashmir feels the pain of seclusion and chaos.
We know how it looks when you lost everything you possesses.
We know how it looks when people laugh at your miseries.
We are Kashmir, resilient than you, patient than you.
But we feel your pain, agony and anguish & we won’t laugh at you.
Neither shall we mock at you, we wish you get some peace & ease.
