There is just much power is owning ones story and I have one too ...I am a young Zambian girl from a small town and a community of less opportunities , I grew up in a community where dropping out of school and getting pregnant or early marriage was a norm , a community with less privileged individuals to fulfill their dreams and ambitions ,, being in an area where there is less or no role model to look up to or a mentor to give direction apart from my parents that gave me hope and pushed me to be different ,and not follow the masses .
With the help and support of my parents to ensure my dreams and vision of being part of the world's solution are achieved , I one day decided to be different and even at a young age I still believe dreams do come true if you have the right intentions at heart , I continued with my studies and was done with high school level , went to a training college and did a program , then did I advance from dreaming to acting on for the dream to be fulfilled, currently enrolled at the highest institution in Zambia " the mighty university of Zambia with hope of changing the narrative in my community ,nation and world at large ... while a student even though I have faced so much challenges academic wise and financial wise I still got hope that one day I will be the voice to the voiceless women and fellow young girls in my community.
The greatest part of my present story is the courage I had to found an organization ,which is a youth -led .. and it's aim is to provide mentorship program , talent / skill showcasing in relation to Sustainable development Goals and improvement of lifelyhood . Through this leadership journey I have seen young people gathering with passion for change , helping each other in a fight to many things affecting humanity. Above all I thank God for the grace and mercy he has showed me ,, being hopeful of the future is all I can hold on to even in the midst of a storm .
