Opting for a 'Do no Work Day" because my brain & body needed a break

Treating myself to some deli coconut rice & veggies

Hello World,

I woke up last Wednesday with a super tired feeling and a brain which was on over drive. I think not having properly rested from an out of town trip to support a WP Ambassador's program for two days, and all the trauma listened to,, I think my own brain got busted. I remember memories of how I was sexually molested by a doctor back in 1996 and how I had never processed that because I didn't even know what that was.

So on that Wednesday, I just told myself to lace up and workout because I always feel great after working out, then I will bathe and go visit two friends.

My first friend I visited has a new shop and I had been looking for time to go visit her shop.

Next visit was to another childhood friend who had come into the country for a vacation. Although we had already seen each other since her arrival, it was on the streets over a plate of food . This time around we spent 4/5 hours catching up on our lives and oh my...

When I left her place, I spotted a restaurant which had Coconut Rice on its menu. Awwwwwww MAG & rice (I could be a Chinese lol). I went into the restaurant and treated myself to a lovely plate of the deli before returning home so rested and glad such an approach could help us take care of our mental health as soon as we spot those weird feelings and thoughts of inadequacy, things to do longer than the Chinese wall and so on and forth.

Uhu am a 'Self Care Queen' and really grateful my kids are all grown now and can understand if I check out for a day or few days to nurture my brain and body.

May someone currently being overwhelmed, tire, exasperated etc, give a 'Do no Work Day' a try...we are HUMAN BEINGS & not HUMAN DOINGS Afterall lol

In deep sisterhood and solidarity
