|ON CONSISTENCY|

Month of july, ushered in feedback from women from my yoga classes as well as women from my coaching and women in my immediate and far space, |ABOUT STRUGGLING WITH BEING CONSISTENT|

I feel it is important that I put forth these words. It's an invitation from my heart to yours, to receive, to reflect and see how they sit with you, You do not have to agree with what I say and write.

Consistency is as a quality, as a state, as a mental attitude – it is lived, experienced, embodied differently in women’s bodies. To be born in a woman’s body means to experience the ever changing nature of nature at all time. From the moment you started reading these words, to now, something has shifted already, become aware of this shift.

If you are struggling to find consistency, know that consistency for women means pausing to listen to the needs of the body at all levels – physical, mental, emotional, energetic and then acting from that space. Some days, energy are higher, these days we are able to show up in a certain way. Other days, energy is heavy, all we are able to do is to breathe and rest. Some days deep presence is felt and experienced and other days deep absence ripples across and all this impact on our quality of consistency.

Honor this. Consistency and flexibility go heart in heart, hand and in hand, body in body, womb in womb, for women, especially when it is connected to building a routine geared towards personal, spiritual, physical, mental, emotional growth and well-being.

There is no pushing or rushing on this journey. You cannot love yourself and judge yourself at the same time, this does not work. You can hold yourself in love while having compassion towards your challenges.

Holding space for each one of us. Holding space for how we keep showing up and regardless of what we may think or believe about ourselves, we are doing “what is” to live and/or to survive. We are carrying generations of unrest, tiredness, fears, trauma in this body, for this alone, our embodied experience of consistency is bound to oscillate every minute, every second and every day.

While I say these words, I am not saying, do not stretch your comfort zone. I am not suggesting not to have a dedicated practice. Have it by all means and bring flexibility in your practice, bring consistency by learning to tuning in and listening to the needs of your body right here right now.

Love from my heart to yours

Love from my body to yours

Love from my nervous system to yours
