Oh world leaders!

He drifted and arrived slowly in the edges of the island

Sands covered his arms and tiny legs

Lying, he smeared himself with sand, quietly; whereas he would have been building sand castle

He drowned in the big blue ocean remembering all the fishes he learned about at school

He didn’t knew what peace and conflict was, he just left the world in silence letting them rule

All we know: he was a victim of politics

Isn’t the term politics associated with having a governing body aiming to bring peace and ensure security to its people?

Since when did this term started getting so dirty?

Where are the world peacemakers who promised to save lives?

Oh world leaders, why so craving for power when we know we all shall be covered one day with flowers

Why so lust and unjust when we know all our pride will fly in the dust

Oh world leaders, you promised to lead; for our lives now, why shall we plead?

Oh world leaders, wake up for humanity, only then we can expect for serenity

She covered herself from head to toe

Took her children and went to the shore

A group of uniformed men with arms and cards comes along and questions her attire

Isn’t the term freedom ensures providing right to women what she wants to wear?

Oh world leaders, since when a piece of cloth became a symbol of terror?

All we know your logic and argument has an error

Aren’t women having any choice of their own?

Why shall a lawmaker decide what they need to wear?

Few filthy lives might rage religious conspiracy, for that shall we go against democracy?

Oh world leaders, you always preached of being respectful and liberal

When you have spread so much hatred which turned out in uncountable funerals?

Oh world leaders, you promised to lead; for our rights now, why shall we plead?

Oh world leaders, wake up for humanity, only then we can expect for serenity
