My vision

story
I would like to do what I can, by helping community/society and its youth through speaking out to the children providing guidance and support to the kids and family to have them be happy with their lives. To share my mistakes, my wisdom and my trials and tribulations with troubled youths...to soften the blow that life manages to hand out to those who persist in doing things the hard way. To show them how to pick themselves up and dust themselves off when they fall, that no one amongst us is perfect and that just because we make a mistake (or two or three) that it's not a cause or an excuse to give up. That the sky is the limit and if we reach for the moon, we will most definitely land on a star. I want to share with them mother's vision for me, hers for her (and so on and so on) to dance, to sing, to never be afraid of any challenge. To treat every opportunity as if it were that of a lifetime, to tackle the smallest to the largest challenge or goals as if there were no tomorrow. To dedicate to providing guidance, listening, and resources to help women achieve whatever level of personal and professional power they choose, for women have the opportunity to make a magnificent difference in the future.
It is all about ‘giving something back’, I’ve always wanted to help and give back to the community/world. I was taught at an early age to give back to people when you can because you might be the one needing help someday. I believe that this is the easier way to lobby and raise awareness of women's issues within the city from grassroots to strategic levels. Empowering Women and aiming to inspire women with the courage to break free from the chains of limiting belief patterns and societal or religious conditioning that have traditionally kept women suppressed and unable to see their true beauty and power. I also know that I can offer self-help tools, information, encouragement and inspirational to women to use as a guide on the journey of Reclaiming Their Power. Women are encouraged to see and bring forth the beauty and strength within themselves, to be inspired to be the best they can be, and to let their Spirit (Goddess Selves) shine through.
Having an opportunity to speak about the challenges that faces women, children, youths, etc and being able to share with women what’s happening around us would mean making the world a better place for women and children. I hope to see women and girls, men and boys having equal opportunities and capabilities where women are empowered and the principles of gender equality are embedded in all efforts to achieve human rights, peace and security. I would like to help women access their highest potential, and support them in creating and living the life they most desire. By doing so, my aim is to help women live better and more meaningful lives, which in turn creates better families, communities, organizations and societies.
Being a Voices of Our Correspondent gives the opportunity to empower women with resources and tools that open up their awareness to who they truly are, and that give them the means and confidence to be able to claim their authentic leadership. Authentic leadership does not depend on title or power, or even on having a mass following. Authentic leadership is all about connecting with who you really are inside, recognizing that you have unique gifts to share, understanding what your core values are, and living your life in a way that honors your life’s purpose.
I believe that when people have their needs met and are living fulfilling lives; they are perfectly positioned to help others achieve that same happiness. This belief has propelled me to inspire women to help other women around the world who are in less fortunate conditions and situations, who simply need a helping hand whether through mentoring, giving charity, volunteering, lobbying or raising awareness, encouraging women to empower other women to live better quality and more fulfilling lives.
