MY PAIN
Aug 28, 2019
story
This pain sucked all my blood.
This pain parched all my tears.
Deep, profound and cavernous pain.
Strange, weird and unexpected pain.
Baffling, mysterious and unresolved pain.
Never did I witness such a pain.
It is something deeper in the heart.
In every nerve, muscle and ligament.
Unrelenting, eternal and relentless pain.
I cry I sigh, but of no avail.
It is seeping into my whole being,
Like a venom of King Cobra.
This pain is as agonizing as death itself.
This pain is as harrowing as an angel of death.
This pain has controlled every beat of my heart.
This pain invaded and overrun all my hopes.
This pain has ruined the possibility of my future.
This ferocious, insensitive and callous pain.
This unkind, cruel and spiteful pain.
I, a sovereign citizen of my beloved Kashmir.
I am in intense and unceasing agony.
This ache is shaking my body and soul.
This torture has taken a heavy toll on me.
This distress has made me numb and dead.
This grief of not reaching out to my people has marred my hopes.
This anguish has determined my belief in resistance.
O’ my oppressors you can incur pain on us, but you shall never win our hearts.
Never, never and never shall you win and that is the prayer of my painful heart.
