MY LANGUAGE; MY IDENTITY

My Initiative this time is all about getting people, especially growing people along the path to appreciate our mother tongue; our native language with which we think deeply and cause a lot of development and literal sense, prosperity and progress. 

This Initiative becomes imperative if the rate at which a lot of native language are gradually going into extinction. 

My Goals is to introduce school children to the results of my findings about Yoruba Language, the writing of it, in consonance with the acents that makes its reading and understanding easier and simpler than its used to be. 

The first part of this initiative is putting together of a few interesting and educative stories together into genres (Prose and Drama), get the scripts printed, published and reviewed and thereafter, distribute them to Junior Schools in their categories.  

This also includes encouraging both the teachers and the students to having access to the texts.  

To achieve this, three of such titles were listed among the States recommended texts: 

Ọdún A Yakọ, 

Àbèké Òréke and 

Kókó Omi. 

To further encourage the reading of these Yoruba books, a Junior School was sampled selected and about three hundred and thirty Junior School students received these books, in their categories, free of charge in this breakdown: 

120 Junior Secondary School one, JSS 1, students got a copy each of Kókó Omi. 

120 Junior Secondary School students two, JSS 2, got a copy each of Àbèké Òréke. 

90 Junior Secondary School students, JSS 3, got a copy each of Ọdún Á Yakọ. 

All for free. 

 Plan is in progress to add other schools annually, and equipng the students with other interesting local language books, Yoruba Language. 

Also with a researched simpler ways to learn, read and write Yoruba letters, alphabets, words and sentences with acents, right from the roots; as opposed to having learned the sentences before adding the acents:
