MY JOURNEY

Growing up in a quiet town in Northern Nigerian to a family that strives on hard work makes you confident, I grew up believing in myself and in the good of everyone I came across. Working with people and for people has always been a part of me.

My work is based in Zangon Tama in Giwa Local Government Area of Zaria, Kaduna State. One of the greatest challenges women face in my community is access to education especially as it concerns the choices available to them especially as it involves their health and that of their children.

Interventions with friends have been carried out in Durumi(Zagon Tama) area of Giwa Local government in Zaria, Kaduna State. But because of the short duration and little or no funding, the impact is not seen.

I will like to see women develop a means of sustainable livelihoods. Supporting what the women are already doing and encouraging them in using skills already acquired will go a long way.

I am a graduate of Theatre and Performing Arts from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Kaduna State. I love working in communities especially with women and children with the aim of achieving sustainable development.
