My hopes and dreams are for a better world for girls and families as a whole where there is equality, love and financial independence for all irrespective of gender. Am a clinical social work supervisor by profession and I have been able to use the skills in mentoring a lot of children in my family, village and community and have sponsored most of them through college so they can become financially stable and not be preyed on by men or people with more money. My sister supports me by mentoring and offers pastoral counseling to young girls who are sent into marriages at a very young age and are abused by their husbands. She teaches them how to knit and help them start their own small businesses. I hope to continue to work with her in supporting the women and help them gain more expertise and financial stability through micro financing.
