Mon expérience dans la vie associative au Sud-Kivu

En 2004, j'ai décidé de quitter la province Orientale (Kisangani) pour m'installer dans ma province natale , le Sud-Kivu.Deux ans après j'ai eu l'idée d' y implanter mon association AFEDECO en commençant par le chef lieu de la province qui est Bukavu.

• Là, nous avons rassemblé les femmes désœuvrées: filles mères , veuves et femmes déplacées qui avaient fui des exactions(viols, pillages ) dans leurs villages respectifs.Nous les encadrons jusqu'à présent dans ces différents métiers : coupe et couture, savonnerie, tissage des paniers, crochetage en vue de les rendre utiles à la communauté et autonomes. Compte tenu de leur niveau souvent trop bas d'instruction, nous associons à ces métiers l'alphabétisation. En plus, nous les sensibilisons aux droits de la femme et de l' enfant.




• A Mwenga et Kamituga situés respectivement à 130 et 175km de Bukavu , une zone forestière où nous encadrons les femmes constituées en grande partie des violées , victimes de la présence du groupe armé
  rwandais FDLR dans leur milieu.En plus des activités de Bukavu, nous les entrainons dans l'agriculture. Toutes ces activités visent la réinsertion socio-économique de ces femmes.

My Experience as Part of an Association in South Kivu

In 2004 I decided to leave the Western province (Kisangani) to move to my home state of South Kivu. Two years later I had the idea of creating my association AFEDECO starting first in the capital city of the province, Bukavu.

• there we have gathered unemployed women: girls, mothers, widows, and displaced women who have fled violent acts (rape, looting) in their respective villages. We supervise them currently in different areas: tailoring and sewing, soap making, weaving baskets, and carpet making with the aim of making them helpful to the community and autonomous. Finding that their level of [education] is often too basic for instruction we include courses on literacy. Additionally, we make them aware of the rights of women and children.




• In Mwenga and Kamituga situated respectively 130 and 175km from Bukavu, there is a forestry zone where we supervise women who make a large part of those who have been raped [and are] victims of the presence of the armed Rwandan group FDLR [Interahamwe] in their community. In addition to activities in Bukavu, we train them in agriculture. All these activities aim for the socioeconomic reintegration of these women.
