Missing my sister for some time now.

My dear lovely and caring sisters, I miss you so very much and am glad to be back again. Reason for be absent all this while was because of health challenges. It wasn't easy with me. I went from one hospital to another, from one specialist to another i.e. ENT (ear, nose and throat), Neurologist etc and the one that is remaining is the eye specialist because of financial challenges. But am happy to be with you again sisters because I thought I will never see or hear again from you. I went through thins and torn and thought all is gone but here am I again.

Right now the saddest thing I have now which traumatizing is a young girl of 12yrs who told me her story after I decided to check on the women in my community. She came closer and said " aunty do you know almost every day some men always harassed me sexually?" I shouted in surprise what!!! and it sounded to me like it was a dream. I asked her to repeat what she said and she said the same thing again. So I ask, do you like it? She said no aunty. I ask again, do they use to have it with you at ones or at intervals. She said intervals. I told her that it means you use to enjoy it right. She said no. Then I calmly ask her what was her problem. She said, she lost her parents in this period of the crisis and had to go stay with the grand mother from the paternal said. So when she went there, she met a paternal cousin of hers who was a grown up man and since the grand mother didn't have money to send her to continue school, he used the opportunity to rape and telling her he's going to educate her. Promising education to she thought keeping quiet was the best thing so as to get her education. As she keeps on staying with the grand mother other men seeing how she's not going to school will call her and ask why she's not going to school and as ignorant as she is, she will tell them her problems and her financial status and that's how they 've been taking advantage of her. So when I as her why she's telling me the story she said that its one of the women who knows am against GBV who told her to tell me. I ask if this woman knows this story, she said no that the woman only knows that she does not goes to school and she would like to continue her education but there's no means. Now with this child's story I have two worries. My first worry is that am just from the hospital and has spent alot and yet not through with the process of visiting the eye specialist and secondly this child needs to go to school though we're on summer holidays will I be able to support these child for her education. This is a very challenging task on my part.

Please my sisters I have never felt as such. Please help me lets help support this child to go school while I look for a place for her to stay there. While putting heads together my sisters to help this child, am already trying to make arrangements with a pastor to take the child inn stay with her.

Do you know the shock in the story???? These men are married men.
