Miracle

Living in my ancestral land; where my predecessors suffered partition and moved house; and having the privilege to settle down here; is a “Miracle”. But no land is holy. No human is without flaws. No \"God\" wants Wars in His Name.
People in this land are simple; suffering, hard-working, very loving, kind, generous with very little resources they have. They live day in day out quietly submissive to their fate and their God's Will. Living one day at a time; they only have their faith to; \"live where no man can possibly survive; without his GOD with him.

Then who is to blame to defame our country? In such an impoverished country; how can a sane person reconcile poverty; massive Illiteracy; violence with Pakistan's nuclear arsenal that now totals more than 100 deployed weapons .It is one of the world's most unstable regions, according to estimates by non-government analysts.

Come and see the realities on ground. We are not Terrorists; not all men here are misogynists, not all women are subjugated; veiled; not every person is corrupt or a crook. Got some stats on gender equality recently According to the world economic forum survey; Pakistan ranks 132nd from a total of 134 countries surveyed.

Women; the unfortunate, regressed, veiled, faceless, formless, enslaved, powerless, helpless
gender. Rise women Rise; educate and empower yourselves.

Lets go back to our poor citizens; vulnerable victims; and ask our Leaders where they use the common mans’ hard earned money. Here the country’s Leadership needs to answer a few fundamental questions? Where is our infrastructure? Where are the trillions that are allocated in the budget going?

Public schools and hospitals are in shambles. Roads; irrigation (need I remind anyone about the massive flooding in July of 2010; when half of the country was under water) are allocated billions and billions each year.

“Uprising”; the magic word. Should we look and hope for a sane future? As much as I would want a saner and peaceful world; why am I apprehensive? Will our Leaders resign humbly? Would the new Leaders be any different? Can we give our poor, illiterate, over-populated, unprivileged people both rural n the urban; a better life in the future? Would a robust structured free private public unified accessible education infrastructure save a few million souls? What if population explosion would have been taken care of? I know it’s in hind-sight; but is too late?
