Meeting my Mentor

I have been looking forward to this moment for so long , since the start of the mentorship programme, settling on an appropriate time to connect with my Mentor EJ , it has been tricky as we are on different time zones.

But eventually we settled on a time for today , although I fell asleep early as I had a morning television  appointment , which kept me up the night before ,and im not a day sleeper unless Im really exhausted, and I was,   but somehow the beep off her message woke me up

And it lead to such an amazing conversation in which we got to exchange a lot about our countries ,the cultural similarities as a great percentage of our population is of african decent and our celebration of that hertiage in our culture, we spoke about my initative and my plans at funding it to become a real reality that will impact so many .We spoke about this mentoring programme and the expectations we each have of the outcomes. We went through the questionaire andI  will be working on  it

It was a wonderful meeting and a beautiful time of sisterhood in which we laughed ,shared and learnt from each other

So cheers to you my beautiful Nigerian sister ,cheers to a fantasic  journey ahead
