After hearing of Maya's passing, I processed it, cause she had been battling with health issues, I was saddened by the loss, as with anyone death for the living isn't easy to swallow, we grieve, in our moment of grief we are also reminded of our journey's end. I may not have known her as a mother, a sister, a friend, I only know her through her own words, her writing...She may have left us in the physical realm but the spirit of WOMAN is what she leaves behind, her legacy of living authentically is a lesson for the living woman. Maya, I celebrate you, for just being, you articulated the reasons for woman to love thyself, "death is a lesson for the living" we continue to learn from your living.. “To a spirit that continues to live with the Legends”…..
