Leave No One Behind: InspireIT Membership Club

Inspireit Membership Club

Having organised training workshops and mentored some women for more than 5 years, InspireIT team have seen first hand the challenges some InspireIT mentees face in their quest for better opportunities and career growth. Some of our mentees struggle to acquire new skills/pay to learn new skills; some in secondary secondary schools struggle to pay for their secondary school certificate examination, some in universities struggle to connect with an expert in a STEM field, some do not have access to career advisors etc.

While we may not be able to solve everyone's problem, we still want to help in our own little way. Even if we cannot provide funds (for now); we can at least advise, help with reference/connection or even access to some opportunities. We strongly believe that information is key and right information matters.

To help our mentees and potential mentees, we launched InspireIT Membership Club on Wednesday the 9th of December 2020. InspireIT membership club is based on a principle, \"Leave No One Behind.\" We want to contribute our quota to make the world a better place, to end extreme poverty in all its forms, and reduce inequalities.

At InspireIT, we do not tolerate any form of discrimination and everyone is welcomed irrespective of their country, status or background. However, there are rules and terms and conditions apply.

As much as we want more young women in STEM, we also want to promote creativity and innovation as well as explore factors that hinder women and girls' participation in education especially STEM education. We are also going to be encouraging the boys/men to join because men have a key role to play in the advancement of women in STEM and we need male allies to advocate for greater gender equity.
