Launching the "Break The Silence" Project

Hello Friends,

The 50 Million Missing Campaign (www.50millionmissing.info) is upping the ante in the fight against femicide in India. One of the biggest problems as with most Asian societies is the culture of silence and secrecy that surrounds violence against women in India.

So our \"Break The Silence\" project is inviting women (and men) to come out and share the stories of violence against women in their own families. We believe this prison of silence must be broken if we want change.

So if you would like to share your story on our blog Gender Bytes or know of Indian men and women who would like to share their stories please contact me.

As founder of the campaign I decided to launch the \"Break the Silence\" project with a writeup about my own grandmother.
This is it here: http://apps.facebook.com/causes/posts/666755?m=

warm regards
