Latent Violence against the African child

For many years ,i have fought the battle that many Cameroonian young girls and boys  fight "latent violence " . This is the type of unspoken Violence that is deeply rooted in family ties,cultural norms,values,traditions and rooted in DNA related relatives. 

I was blessed to be born through parents that believe in the power of education and do not get me wronge ,i do appreciate that gift. But with that came a lebel and a price. I was suppose to be married to a man they approve or choose for me . This would have helped maintain the family socioeconomic but also the image of my clan . I was suppose to get married to my clan man ,and this is the most suffisticated arranged-arrangement in what marriage should be to upphold traditions,status and power. 

Unfortunately i choosed a different path by marrying someone out of my clan, tradition and icing on the cake not approved by my parents,siblings and m.m. 

Its been the fight of my life and its not an easy fight when you are conflicted between your rights, your religion, your plege as a child ,but also as a mother to your kids and wife to your husbands. 

Today i choose to talk on this because many girls, boys go through this and never talk about it. The pyschological consequence of this type of violence is unmeasureable especially as it comes from people close to the heart,people who are suppose to protect you and love you. Its the type of place and position no one wants to be so many go on in the tradition .

We get all the goid fortunate of what our  family offer in exchange for our right to choose whom we love, whom we marry ,whom we give our income too and how we get to spend our money. 

When we deray that path and decide to have a right to choose, we are totally disintergrated from what we ever knew to be family, your friends are inflenced not to look your way cos you are the child that wants to kill your parents through your choices. 

That choice i made and will do it over again cos freedom have no price. I am a derayed child 🤭🤭and am a happy derayed child 

Just like Mahatma Ganhdi said "My life is my message".
