Keeping in touch

Dearest Friends , Mentors and Midwives,

As i turn every webpage of our stories everyday, I can't help but smile to myself and feel the happiness flowing in my senses how lucky I am being a part of this wonder of life.The glow of our faces as we unveil our stories made me ponder how long my relationship with this community last. I admired so much the beautiful stories made by beautiful women and came into life by courageous real women characters. With the thought of our last assignment, i can already feel the sense of longingness of the inspiration it gives me to write no matter how hard it is for me . A friend of mine asked me yesterday how i was going with my pulsewire program. I was not really very active in my participation on line and in fact, I was delayed in submitting my second assignment, I answered her. I also told her about our last assignment and i'm still thinking of my feature story. Though, I told her that the training is so great and it really of helped to me personally and to ou activism work which she agreed. Though, I can't imagine myself writing without the help of my Pulsewire community- this is where i find my writing and this is my journey seaching for more to be a woman journalist and an activist

My life lately had been so diffiucult due to the political situation here - my husband who is also an activist is constantly politically harrass and there was an assasination plot on his life which we successfully exposed publicly. My engagement with you on line is not really that much compared before - but the spirit of oneness with you is always there . I've always read all your articles on line , try to give feedbacks to some - though I always wanted to give feedback to all - yet my limits always finds me sleeping so tired .

With the silence of the night , with my daughter besides me and my partner - I'm thinking what topic to write for my feature story. Here are some of my thoughts and I wish you can spare me part of your brilliant minds for making my story;

  1. A story of a political persecution and its effects to children

  2. A story of woman and children of Martial Rule and their continuing struggle for national liberation

  3. A story of human trafficking and overseas contract work -

Maybe you can also suggest topics you want me to share with about the Philippines and the women;s issues we are being confronted with, I would be so happy .

thank you so much and keep up our spirit high!

hugs,
malaya
