It takes a village!

Last week Saturday, 15 July, 2023, at Big-Ada, #DreamsAriseGhana in partnership with #ScribbleWorks (a publishing house) brought together 19 Junior High School students preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination to take a prep assessment.

The objective of this assessment designed by Scribble Works is to help students with specific topic areas they could intensify their learning before taking the exams in the next three weeks. Good thing is, this test is approved by Ghana Education Service.

The Basic Education Certificate Examination is one key examination for students in Ghana because it is majorly a determinant as to whether students get to progress in their educational ladder. Because the results of students used to determine the Senior High School to attend and to a high extent the programme to be read in the school.

We at #DreamsAriseGhana are absolutely committed to changing the narrative on rural education in Ghana. And we are only starting. Students who participated in this were grateful for the opportunity and mentioned it would help streamline the topics they learn for Mathematics. This assessment was conducted for only one subject, and we look forward to do this with next year's candidates.

Huge thanks to our partner organisation, #ScribbleWork that offered a huge discount so students could take this test.
