Introducing myself and my journal:Enlightened

I am a communications expert consultant with vast years of experience in the corporate, faith-based and non-governmental organisations, advertising and banking sectors. I have co-founded an inspirational and motivational magazine called Mandate in Zimbabwe, that focuses on life skill topics and the power of self discovery among others. As a community changer, I have been involved in various charitable projects aimed at enhancing the lives of the less fortunate. Currently, I am working on a radio program called “Voices of Positive Change” bringing awareness to the work of local heroes at grass-roots level through radio interviews.

I am knowledgeable in the use of communication for not only conflict resolution purposes but to bring awareness to social issues affecting disadvantaged communities today. As an avid blogger, I write in a captivating and personal way, sharing the story of the African woman and her role in navigating the landscape of leadership, business and development. Recently, I became a contributor to the Insight on Conflict website,www.insightonconflict.org, writing on similar issues with a particular focus on conflict and its effects on women. I am deeply passionate about development issues and woman empowerment and am hungry for knowledge and want to see the development of the women, socially, economically and politically come to full circle, as I myself am proudly a woman, mother and wife.

My desire is to continue to use my expertise in project management, development and communications to enhance women skills in success, leadership, career, business and communication skills.

My hope is for a future in which women are educated, politically engaged, independent and free.
