Introducing myself and my journal: Women and Income



About Me:
Born and brought up in the rural area of cuttak district of Orissa.Being the eldest of 1 sister and 2 brothers, struggled hard and got a post graduation degree on Political Science from Utkal university of Orissa. Being motivated to work for the rural poor joined PRADAN( Professional Assistance for Development Action) a renowned national level organisation work for the livelihood generation of the rural poor,in its location in Jharkhand in 1998 and since then associated with the Organisation in different capacities. Presently working as consultant to Co-ordinate at state level (Jharkhand) a Natural resource based livelihood projects for the poor house hold of 5 districts of Jharkhand. Selected as South Asia Associates of Traidcraft,Kingsway, Gateshead, NE11 0NE, UK.



My Passions:
Training and capacity building of the poor people especially women



My Vision for the Future:
Building skills , knowledge and attitude of poor community through participatory training methodology and communication campaign



My Areas of Expertise:
institution building and capacity building of women, promoting livelihoods for the rural poor
