Introducing myself and my journal: Through my Lens

About Me:
How can I sum up my last 35 years in one paragraph? I've read some very strong personalities here but I'm just a simple woman living in Mali. I was born in Yemen but grew up in Mali. I teach History, currently I'm doing my Ph.d in Anthropology.
Why did I join here? I'm going through some large changes in my life after having my divorce and I feel it is time to be doing some work in the field of women and empowerment. I am a secularist and don't believe religion should play any role in government.
That's all for now. In time I will write some more.....
Regards,
Tania
