About Me:

I am the author of Stories They Told Me, a novel of Shamanism and Goddess Spirituality set in Minoan Crete; Ode to Minoa, the odyssey of a snake Priestess in Bronze Age Crete; and the recently completed The Strega and the Dreamer. My Great Grandmother Domenica Colella was a Strega in the Italian mountaintop village tradition. She was a wise woman, herbalist, healer, soothsayer and midwife. I grew up hearing stories about my Great Grandmother and all her skills, her knowledge of the plants, evil eye rituals and dowsing, her “doctoring.”

I am currently working toward bringing this tradition back to a living practice in my life in service to my community and the many communities of the planet.
