Introducing myself and my journal: Saraswati's Gift

About Me:
As a former case manager/program-coordinator in education and social services, I advocated for women, teen parents, families, foster children through job training, education, life skills, and, especially, self-discovery. My degree is in art with independent study in art therapy. In recent years I've returned to art and writing, publishing a line of greeting cards and licensing art and writing to publishers. The intention behind all of my creative expression is to promote kinship, compassion, empowerment. I'm hoping to connect my life and work again to efforts to empower women. I am so thrilled and moved to find this website and know about the work being done worldwide. I will look for ways to participate as an artist and writer and through my website www.goldenflowerstudio.com. Thank you to all in this community for your sweet, deep consciousness and actions.

My Passions:
The arts and creative expression as it manifests in all cultures... I especially love textiles, costume and surface design. The promotion of loving kindness.

My Challenges:
As an arist and writer, finding ways I can still use my social worker inclinations to help women rise up and express their gifts.

My Vision for the Future:
People who are disenfranchised, uprooted, displaced, living in poverty are given hope through validation of their humanity and core strengths. And the opportunities to manifest those strengths to determine their own futures.

My Areas of Expertise:
Artist, designer, digital illustration, writer, poet.
