Introducing myself and my journal: Sailing the Desert

About Me:
Built an adobe house in the beautiful Galisteo Basin in New Mexico. We live on sunshine for both electricity and hot water. We are trying to restore the natural habitat, pulling out invasive species and planting native. In doing so we hope to restore some of the water to the land and treat ourselves to a sustainable lifestyle. We are raising bees to help pollinate the plants. We have 2 beautiful sons who, along with their friends, give me hope for the future. They are totally culture blind. They move in and out of groups of people, environments, cultures, habitats, time zones, etc. with ease. I am very envious and elated they have the opportunities to enjoy all these things and am committed to making sure they continue to have such opportunities.

My Passions:
My family, my friends, my land, sailing, reading, music

My Challenges:
Finding time and resources to do all I want to do

My Vision for the Future:
Balance

My Areas of Expertise:
Finding a way of doing things, face to face communication, patience, making things by hand
