About Me: I am committed to the equality of women. I think that is accomplished by each woman claiming her own power and all women working together on our collective behalf to change the political, economic and social systems that surround us. My own work has included establishing shelters for battered women, using a gender lens in policy analysis, providing consulting services to women and gender-focused organizations, writing about the role of race and gender in our professions and engagement and dialogue processes, and mentoring women as change agents. I also embrace my roles as daughter, mother, sister, aunt and relationship partner to discover and develop myself as woman, human, activist, and world citizen.
